LOL. The sanctioning (CyclingBC) dictates categories. It is broken down by age and license. There were 19 categories at this race.

I've seen Danice ride in similar conditions: steep, rocky, rooty, muddy and wet. She's got this dialed. lol We are all cheering for you back here at home.

I know a couple of women with the Syren. They absolutely love that bike. Their riding has improved considerably since getting it as well. Nice job Transition.
I want to try to get up to KBC this year and give those trails a rip.

Danice rocks. Best of luck, call and let us know how it goes, I'll make sure an announcement is made at Arduum. I'll plan it around the World Champs next year, you can get your title back. So stoked for you and the rest of Team Canada!!!!

You would probably move the seat more if it wasn't a hassle to do it. I never did either until my new bike had this post, now I use it all the time.

Nice Colton. Bring it out to Mission and put it through the paces on Bear and Arduum.

No U15. The classes are laid out by Cycling BC and the CCA, they wouldn't approve the course for U15 but that's it. All the regi details are available at http://www.karelo.com/enter_res.php?&BID=333#Ev5989

kinda funny. Tyler figured out the way to keep a bike in the garage. Sticker it up, nobody wants it. Tyler, that was why your Devinci got stolen...no stickers. I gotta go to the LBS now and get some security for $1.00 each. lol

When the entire donation amount becomes available please make sure to post it up. Both those riders really need the industry sstanding behind them.

Doing the trip yourself is great BUT if you have the money it is worth it. Nothing like riding hard all day then being waited on and pampered while you relax in the evening. Its hard getting out of the hot tub or off the chair to get your own beer.

O I beg to differ. I talked to mine a while back now. They are working on a bike park, new DH trails, a new XC loop and bike paths to help keep the bikes off the road. I was really surprised. The key is to come across professional. Have carefully thought out arguments, do lots of research.

My guess is that it has less to do with the amount of bikes and the personalities of the people. The cities are rated for their efforts and how much of their transportation budgets they devote specifically to bikes. I would think Bend Oregon would be another city on list but they spend a lot on building roads because of the population growth. I would suspect that the list was a reader/user survey, perhaps send recommendations to Virgin Vacations (the company that did it) with additional cities for them to check out. Tell them why it should make the list next year. Everyone commenting here won't help much. In fact, if you really want your town on the list, take it to your local government and suggest the tourism, ecological and congestion benefits to them, ask them to step up to the plate. Just my two cents.

Thanks Tyler and Radek. The organizing team of the Arduum Challenge was really stoked to have the support of Pinkbike.com with such compressed timeline. You guys really came through for us. Thanks again, we'll talk about next year.

Yes it will. Like the Bear Mountain DH course it will be available for the public to ride. It will just be a hike a bike to get to it.
